About This Guitar

This 1970s employee-built J200, crafted by Luke Thompson using Gibson parts, features many classic 70s-era Gibson acoustic details, including a multi-piece maple back and sides, spruce top, and a 3-piece maple neck with a volute. It also has Kluson waffle back tuners, a custom-made rosewood bridge, and two custom marquetry strips on the back. The guitar is in good condition with checking throughout and a stable small crack in the bridge. It has a thinner 60s-style neck profile and delivers a loud, boomy low end with a snappy midrange and treble. This guitar plays and sounds as good as any Gibson from the era, if not slightly better.
