Tech Notes: This 1963 Fender Deluxe amp features classic early 60s “brownface” cosmetics and the coveted 6G3 circuit. Known for its sweet, complex crunch that lies somewhere in between the ragged 5E3 Tweed Deluxe and cleaner AB736 Deluxe, this amp can be heard on countless recordings. It also features Fender’s famous bias-vary tube tremolo. This amp has a replacement Pacific Transformers power transformer, a 3-prong power cable, and a clean bill of health from our in-house amp tech. The tube chart indicates a July 1963 manufacture date and the original output transformer was made in the 14th week of 1963. The speaker is the original Oxford.
