This 1949 Gibson L-5 is a true testament to vintage craftsmanship and elegance, offering a timeless design and exceptional playability. The guitar features a comfortable medium-C profile neck that offers a smooth, effortless playing experience. With its rich, percussive, and punchy tone, it's an instrument that’s hard to put down. The L-5 showcases one of the most beautiful figured maple backs we've seen, along with the highly sought-after stinger on the back of the headstock. While the guitar shows some signs of its history, including filled holes on the heel of the neck, the bottom of the guitar, and the back of the headstock (visible in the photos), these imperfections only add to its vintage charm. Additionally, the pickguard has likely been replaced at some point, and it’s possible the guitar once had a pickup installed.
