Tech Notes: This Strat is a vintage Partscaster consisting of an early-mid 70s Stratocaster body with a 1965 Jazzmaster neck. The pickups are grey-bottom Strat pickups from the 1960s. The body was modified to fit the 4-bolt neck and there is some extra routing around the bridge. The Jazzmaster neck has its original finish but sports a replacement decal that says Stratocaster. There are added screw holes in the face of the headstock and a modern string tree. The pots and switch are from the 1970s and likely original to the body, as well as the pickguard. It has been refretted with larger frets.
This Strat was played on countless hits in the hands of Nashville session aces Kenny Greenberg and Sol Littlefield. It has all the vibe of a 1960s Strat at a much lower price and plays like an absolute dream with a fresh set up.
