1956 Fender Esquire Blonde

This is an absolutely incredible example of a mid-50s (11-55 neck date, early 1956 neck plate) "whiteguard" Esquire. The neck has a decent amount of chunk to it, plus an incredible soft V to it with wonderfully rounded edges. Acoustically, the guitar is super resonant, and it only gets better when you plug it in. There is something about the simplicity of an old Esquire that has to be heard to fully appreciate it. This guitar almost sounds like a combination of Telecaster and Les Paul Junior. Just HUGE.

The neck shows some signs of humidity/water intrusion many years ago, as seen in some of the darker streaks on the lower frets. The neck finish remains original and in great condition.

There is some solder touchup on one of the pots, and the bridge pickup has flat pole pieces consistent with earlier 50s pickups. Fender transitioned to staggered pole piece pickups in 1955, but due to some of the solder touch up we can't guarantee this pickup was original to this guitar, though it is period correct.
